Prime Retail said it has received signed leases from 17 retailers to open stores at its outlet center planned for Livermore, CA, along I-580 in San Francisco's East Bay. These tenants, combined with others that have submitted non-binding commitments to Prime, would occupy about 50% of the 470,000 square feet of space available at the outlet center; which means the developer is likely to break ground this year. Currently, Prime is aiming to open the 120-store, $156 million project in late 2010.
