A 64-unit apartment building developed by Cowles Co. in Spokane was recognized for its design use of green space.

River Landing at Mirabeau, located at 13809 E. Carlisle Ave., has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CoStar Impact Award for multifamily development of the year for Spokane, Washington, as judged by a local team of real estate professionals familiar with the market.

The judges recognized River Landing at Mirabeau for its access to employment centers and recreational spaces.

The developer said it focused on communal areas and curated amenities to encourage the building’s residents to engage in social interaction.

About the Project: Developer and owner Cowles Co. built the River Landing at Mirabeau as a multi-building development with either six apartment units or four townhouses each. The property manager is CoReal Estate.

What the Judges Said: “Innovation in design/access, encouraging social interaction, amenities, green space incorporation and integration with development,” Downtown Spokane Partnership President and CEO Emilie Cameron said.
