Genghis Grill is a fast-casual restaurant chain based on "interactive" Mongolian Stir Fry cuisine. The chain has grown to operate 23 units in AZ, CO, IA, IL, MN, NM, NV, TN and TX. Over the next three years, the company plans to open another 12 corporate restaurants in the Dallas and San Antonia areas, while franchisees are expected to open 17 new units in Houston, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. The typical Genghis Grill is 3,000 to 3,500 square feet and located as an end cap to a busy shopping center; an area for a patio is preferred. J&B Commercial, Genghis' real estate partner in the expansion program, said it will consider locations for the restaurants in central business districts, near regional malls, near movie theatres, shared pad buildings (i.e. w/Starbucks, other national retailers), lifestyle centers and town centers situated in affluent communities and neighborhoods.
