Opus North broke ground on The Shoppes at Fox River, a 498,500-square-foot power center under construction on Sunset Drive in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, WI. The project is the redevelopment of a former Supervalu distribution center, which sits upon 54 acres. Opus intends for 273,000 square feet of space to house a 132,000-square-foot Target and 60,000-square-foot Pick 'n Save grocery story -- it still seeks an anchor tenant for the remaining space. 204,000 square feet will house junior anchors and small shop tenants while 4.1 acres is set aside as outparcels. The Pick 'n Save is being built to achieve LEED certification. The project architect is KKE Architects and Michael Fitzgerald of Mid-America Real Estate Wisconsin serves as the leasing agent.
