New Jersey-based US Cold Storage (USCS), a public refrigerated warehouse company with 150 million cubic feet of refrigerated storage space at 30 facilities in ten states, plans to break ground this September on a 300,000-square-foot refrigerated storage and warehouse facility at the Lebanon Business Park in Lebanon, IN. The $38 million facility is intended to serve food industry customers in the Midwest. Mickey Hoffman, director of corporate development for the company, reported that UCSC received several requests in recent past to serve customers in the Indianapolis area. USCS will have access to the Conrail track from its location at the Lebanon Business Park, a 1,000-acre industrial park in Boone County. The one-story facility is expected to open June 2009. CB Richard Ellis represented US Cold Storage in the purchase of the land the facility will be developed on.
