BAE Plans Acquisition of Former TRW Plant

Project Expected to Bring 460 New Jobs to Sterling Heights

BAE Systems, a leading global defense and aerospace company, is planning to acquire the former TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. manufacturing facility at in Sterling Heights. The transaction is currently in a period of due diligence while BAE inpects the property to determine whether or not it will be a suitable location. This acquisition would be part of BAE's five-year, $58.4 million expansion of its Land & Armaments operating group. TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. owns the property.
