NiSource, a Merrillville, IN-based, Fortune 500 natural gas company, purchased the Sugar Creek Power Plant at 5900 Darwin Road in West Terre Haute for $330 million from LS Power Group, an industrial development and investment group based out of East Brunswick, NJ. The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) released the plant and authorized the transaction.
