GGP Breaks Ground on Redevelopment of Cottonwood Mall

GGP to Pour $550M into Cottonwood to Create Mixed-Use Open-Air Town Center

On May 22, 2008, General Growth Properties (GGP) broke ground on the redevelopment of the Cottonwood Mall in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The ground breaking comes quite a bit later than was originally expected. GGP claims the $550 million redevelopment of this 730,000-square-foot, 1960's mall will be "the most sweeping redevelopment of a property in the company’s 53-year history."
