CBRE appoints Scotland managing director

CBRE has announced that Matt Willcock will become managing director – Scotland on 1 January.

He will take over from David Smith who has been at the helm for two years. Smith will continue to be part of the senior leadership team, taking on a new role focusing on capital markets and development spanning offices, industrial & logistics, retail and living sectors.

Joining CBRE in 2012, Willock has held key leadership roles across the London and regional business but more recently in Scotland, playing a pivotal role in driving a client-centric culture, implementing exciting growth strategies and fostering high performing teams, CBRE said.

He is well-known from his time as a leading office agent in the South East and Greater London markets.

Stevie Newlands will continue to lead the investment team.

Matt Willcock said in a statement: “The Scotland business has incredible potential and I am honoured to be taking over at such an interesting time in the market, building on the strong foundations laid down by David.
