Hyatt debuts in Zambia

Hyatt Hotels Corp. and owners ASB Hotel Properties and Albwardy Investments, part of Pamodzi Hotels PLC, have signed a management agreement to debut the Hyatt Regency brand in Zambia with the Hyatt Regency Lusaka The Pamodzi. The hotel, due to open next year in the country’s capital, will have 170 rooms.

Lake Como Edition opening announced

Marriott International has said the Lake Como Edition, Italy, is set to open in full next March. The hotel, owned by partners Bain Capital and Omnam Investment Group, will have 148 rooms and occupy a 19th-century palazzo that first opened as a hotel named The London.

Mövenpick comes to The Netherlands

The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Pettemer Duynen, the Accor brand’s entry in The Netherlands, is due to open in 2028 with 240 rooms. Petten is a North Sea coastal town 40 miles north of Amsterdam.

Waldorf Astoria in Greek debut

Hilton has said it has signed its first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts in Greece with a management agreement to open the Waldorf Astoria Scarlet Bay in partnership with owner Royal Group Holding. In the country’s Peloponnese region, the hotel has no opening date as yet but will have 121 rooms.

Oberland and RealVantage acquire Manchester’s Heathcote

Real estate investment firm Oberland and peer group RealVantage have acquired Manchester’s Abode Hotel, now named the Heathcote Hotel. The building it sits in dates to 1899, designed, hence the new name, by Charles Henry Heathcote. C1 Capital Partners will operate the hotel, which has 61 rooms and first opened as a hotel in 2002. The price was not announced, and the seller was Andrew Brownsword Hotels.

All&More to open hotel in Cyprus

Brand All&More is to debut next April its adults-only Ayã Resort on Cyprus’ Ayia Thekla Beach. The property, the firm’s second in Cyprus, will have 48 suites, some of which are overwater bungalows, and a pool covering more almost 33,000 square feet.

Minor to debut Oaks in Saudi Arabia

Minor Hotels and owner Tabarak Holding are to open the 146-room Oaks Residences Riyadh portfolio in Saudi Arabia, the debut in the country for its brand Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites. At the same time, the two partners agreed to open NH Collection-branded hotels in Egypt, with a focus on Cairo.

Hobo Oslo opens in Norwegian capital

Choice Hotels International in October welcomed its first guests to the Hobo Oslo, Ascend Collection, which has brought a further 181 rooms to the Norwegian capital. It joins two other Hobo hotels, one in Stockholm, the other in Helsinki. The hotel’s owner is Strawberry, the vehicle of hotelier Petter Stordalen.

Estonia welcomes debut Hyatt Place

Hyatt has opened its first Hyatt Place hotel in Estonia with the 169-room Hyatt Place Tallinn. Local investment firm Eesti Mereagentuur AS is the owner.

Dusit signs second Saudi hotel

In a hotel management agreement with owner Al Ghadeer Group, Thailand-based operator Dusit International is to open the DusitD2 Al Ahsa in Al Ahsa Oasis, Saudi Arabia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To open in 2027, it will be a sibling of Dusit’s first hotel in Saudi Arabia, the Dusit Princess Al Majma’ah, Riyadh, that is due to open by the end of 2025.

NH Collection debuts in Paris

NH Collection Hotels & Resorts has made its debut in Paris with the NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées, which has 87 rooms in a building dating to 1910.

Mandarin Oriental opens first hotel in Dubai

The 259-room Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, opened on Nov. 17 in the Wasl Tower on Sheikh Zayed Rd. Guests can arrive via its own helipad. The property, Mandarin Oriental’s debut in Dubai, also contains 224 branded residences.

Beckenham, London, opens Travelodge doors

British budget-hotel firm Travelodge, which has approximately 625 hotels across the U.K., and owner Dunward Properties have opened the 72-room Travelodge London Beckenham in the southeast region of the capital.

IHG to soon have its eighth Montenegro hotel

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed its eighth hotel in Montenegro in a deal with owner Uniprom Hoteli. The 81-room Crowne Plaza Budva is due to open in the first quarter of 2026 and be among 92 open and 19 pipeline Crowne Plaza hotels in Europe.

Zetter soon to have third London hotel

In early 2026, The Zetter Group is to open the 68-room Zetter Bloomsbury, its third hotel in London, complementing properties in Clerkenwell and Marylebone. The third hotel will occupy six interconnecting Georgian buildings on Montague Street, which runs alongside one side of the British Museum.
