Deal Expands Los Angeles Landlord’s Footprint in Core Market

Douglas Emmett Inc. (NYSE: DEI) has pulled the trigger on a big transaction. In one of its largest acquisitions since going public in late 2006, the Santa Monica, CA-based REIT has acquired a 1.4 million-sf office portfolio in the Westside and San Fernando Valley from Arden Realty Inc. in a deal priced at $610 million, or $428 per square foot.
