Finish Line's $1.5B Plan to Acquire Genesco Waivers, Closure of Paiva Stores Announced

Will this be the second takeover to undergo price reduction?

In June, The Finish Line Inc of Indianapolis announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire Nashville, TN-based hat and shoe retailer, Genesco. Its been public knowledge that Genesco was being shopped since March this year; the retailer twice turned down bids by Foot Locker, Inc. and was rumored to also be the target of private equity giant Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts. Finish Line's interest in Genesco was kept quiet.
