Aussie-based mall giant, Westfield, has put its 1.2-million-square-foot Annapolis Mall in the Washington, D.C. Market under an $100 million expansion. In total, the 240,000-square-foot expansion will add 60 specialty retailers, two junior anchors, and restaurants to the mall, many of them being new to the market. Like most other mall expansions underway these days, Westfield has executed this addition as a lifestyle center. Other upgrades include renovating the mall's center court, food court, and children's play area, as well as adding 1,000 parking spaces. With its grand opening for the addition this November, Westfield Annapolis will feature retailers new to the market including Pottery Barn, Under Armour, ESPRIT, Levi's, Metropark, Lucky Brand Jeans, Sole Mio, Zumiez, Quiksilver, and restaurant McCormick & Shmick's. Other stores on the docket include Martin+Osa, Janie and Jack, Fossil, GUESS, Aerie, Ann Taylor Loft, Bare Escentuals, L'Occitane, Sephora, and restaurants Noodles and Co. and Stoney River Legendary Steaks.
