A local developer with a long history of Atlanta projects, Selig Enterprises, constructed three towers on a Midtown block that includes office space, a hotel, residential and retail.

Why it matters: The development began before the pandemic and snagged Google, an influential name that can often help draw other businesses as corporate neighbors, as an anchor tenant for the 679,153-square-foot office tower.
Zoom in: Google added space over time instead of pulling back and now occupies most of the office tower.
Fellow tenants: Construction continued when the pandemic hit and offices were emptying across Atlanta. Local law firm Smith, Gambrell & Russell occupies more than 113,000 square feet. The development's hotel is the food-focused flag Epicurean by Marriott.
Location, location, location: The development sits in the heart of Atlanta’s Midtown, which is the center of the city’s technology development and startup community that's anchored by Georgia Tech University.
Plenty of company: Other companies have put tech hubs in Midtown and some have announced plans. Micron Technology, a Boise, Idaho-based computer chip maker, announced last December that it would open a design center in Midtown. Microsoft opened a computing and artificial intelligence office in Midtown two years ago that includes 1,500 jobs.
