Ashford Hospitality Trust closed on its part of a $6.6 billion buyout of CNL Hotels & Resorts. Ashford's $2.4 billion acquisition will add 51 hospitality properties to its portfolio bringing the total to 130 properties. The 51 properties are spread over a number of metropolitan areas, including multiple acquisitions in the Washington DC, Dallas, and Atlanta markets and one acquisition in Montreal.
