Industry veteran Alison Beddard is set to take over as the new CEO of Commercial Real Estate Women Network, a growing global association dedicated to accelerating success for women in the industry.
Beddard, who worked for 20 years at Cushman & Wakefield and most recently served as managing principal for the firm’s Washington and Oregon markets, will assume her new role on July 28, CREW said Tuesday. Former CREW Network CEO Wendy Mann announced her resignation in November 2024 after serving in the role for eight years. Consultant Alyson Reed served as the interim CEO between January and June.
As part of her appointment, Beddard will also serve as CEO of the group's foundation.
As the leader of CREW Network, Beddard said she intends to shape a more inclusive, interlinked and empowered industry by building off her past work with the organization to meet members’ needs both locally and globally.
She is no stranger to the group that provides leadership development and connection opportunities for its more than 14,000 members across roughly 90 chapters, having joined in 2008. Beddard served as 2017 CREW Network president and has guided the group as it expanded globally.
Early this year, CREW launched a chapter in the Canadian capital of Ottawa. In 2024, Mann told CoStar News that CREW had expanded into Ireland and was considering moving into other countries as well.
“CREW Network’s extraordinary growth in the last several years has not only transformed our reach, but it has also redefined what’s possible for women in commercial real estate,” Beddard said in a statement.
Beddard joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2005 in Salt Lake City.
In January 2021, the firm appointed her managing principal for operations in Washington state, where she recruited major producers and helped build Cushman & Wakefield’s business across the Puget Sound region. In 2023, the global company expanded her leadership role to include overseeing its operations in Oregon.
