CP Capital, a multifamily property investment firm, recently hosted 13 students and offered them one-on-one training and mentorship.
The program is part of New York-based CP Capital’s work with Project Destined, a social impact education and investment platform that specializes in training underserved youth. The group works with businesses, entrepreneurs and schools to provide youths with know-how in real estate, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Project Destined also has worked with Brookfield Properties and global mall giant Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, according to its website. Project Destined and Trammell Crow launched a similar partnership last winter, though at a national level.
“Through the continuation of our partnership with Project Destined, CP Capital is able to play an active role in fostering better outcomes for our firm, the commercial real estate industry at-large, and the students involved in our program,” Logan King, director of investments at CP Capital, said in a statement. “Diversity and inclusion are among our firm's core values, and we are proud to have provided this new crop of young professionals with the guidance and support needed to create a strong, more equitable future for the real estate industry.”
CP Capital completed its first mentorship with Project Destined in October.
