NY Investor Enters Memphis With Southland Mall Purchase

City's First Enclosed Mall Trades for $20 Million; Buyer to Bring Out-of Market Tenants to Center

A private New York City-based partnership known as Southland Mall Shopping Center LLC purchased the Southland Mall in Memphis for $20 million, or about $91 per square foot. The seller, Charlotte, NC-based Memphis Joint Venture, is a partnership between BV Belk Properties and Whichard Real Estate Inc.
