Retail leasing volume in Orange County is on pace for a lower total in 2025. In part limited by a lack of desirable available space, new leasing volume, excluding renewals, remained consistent from 2021 to 2024 at around 1,000 deals and 3 million square feet annually. As of early December, over 940 deals have been tallied in 2025, indicating that the market is likely to reach a similar deal count. However, it is heading for a post-pandemic low in leasing volume, with 2.4 million square feet leased year to date.
