Colin Black and Clare Tierney, two veterans of the flexible offices industry, have left IWG, the world's largest group in the space, to launch Global Office Partners, a serviced office agency focused principally on advising corporates who are looking to expand into new markets.
The duo said they will advise businesses looking for a partner with global experience who can review their strategy, and help them move to flex space or negotiate on existing space renewals.
The company plans to offer a bespoke serviced office solution connecting occupiers to operators who will fit out the space when creating new buildings.
The duo has a combined 46 years experience in commercial property spanning estate agency, data and research, student accommodation, coliving, and most recently serviced offices across UK and international markets. They say that if they cannot locate the space clients need or the client has outgrown its serviced space, they will work with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors-accredited partners to find a longer term home.
The first office agent partner they have teamed up with is Edwards Property in Manchester, with Global Office Partners acting as dedicated serviced office agent.
They will also offer a managed solution if companies want a private space with their own floor or building.
The co-founders said in a joint statement: "After years of dealing with Enterprise clients only for a sole operator we're excited to independently advise clients from the full range of products available to them in an ever more competitive and constantly evolving market. We'll be advising all companies from start-up, to high growth as well as the usual global names we have been used to through our years at IWG. We feel energised for what lies ahead and look forward to forging new partnerships."
