Ringley Group, the operational real estate platform with more than £12 billion of assets under management, bolstered its senior team with the hire of Christian Anderton.

He joins the company with 17 years of experience in institutional investment, asset and development management. As managing director of investment and asset management he will split his time between London and Manchester, with the firm opening an office at The Axle on Quay Street.

Following roles with CBRE and Aviva Investors, he set up a niche investment practice, Haida, to continue his focus on origination, underwriting and asset repositioning. He also founded smart building platform NodeTech in 2020.

Ringley said he has experience "leading complex, high-value transactions for global investors" including Blackstone, Kennedy Wilson and Segro, providing expertise in forward-funding, portfolio investment management and mixed-use regeneration, with a track record of more than £8 billion.

Anderton will lead Ringley’s property and asset management service working closely with group chief executive Richard Williams. The group was founded 30 years ago and includes a portfolio of 12 companies.

Williams said in a statement: "Securing Christian to join our expanding senior leadership team is a real coup and statement of intent as we accelerate our growth into commercial real estate."

Anderton added: "This is the ideal time for me to join a hugely successful business, at a transformational time in its journey. The entrepreneurial culture and proprietary, in-house tech capabilities align very well with my vision for realising our growth ambitions."
