JLL expands Texas team; Transwestern hire chases healthcare business; Northmarq names capital markets chief

JLL made several appointments in Dallas and San Antonio to expand its services in Texas. The company said Marti DuBuisson joined its project and development services team in Dallas as a vice president. DuBuisson brings more than 20 years of workplace interior design experience, having served clients in multiple industries. She transitioned into project management at JLL after prior work at design firm Corgan.

In San Antonio, JLL appointed Jeff Miller as regional market lead and Brian Kates to head its office tenant representation group. Miller and Kates have a combined three decades of industry experience, working for the past 10 years at JLL. Miller is a senior managing director at JLL and held earlier roles at Travis Commercial Real Estate Services and Lincoln Property Co. Kates is a JLL managing director who also worked previously at Travis.

Mark Sabatino joined Transwestern as managing senior vice president of asset services on the company’s national healthcare advisory services team. Sabatino, based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will oversee healthcare property management operations, as Houston-based Transwestern said it seeks to grow its customer base in that industry. He brings more than 25 years of experience in medical outpatient, life science, industrial and office portfolios. Sabatino joined Transwestern from investment firm Healthpeak Properties.

Minneapolis-based real estate services firm Northmarq promoted Jeffrey Erxleben to president of capital markets. The company said Erxleben, based in Dallas, will oversee national debt, equity and investment sales services. The 23-year industry veteran worked most recently as president of Northmarq’s nationwide debt and equity platform and is a member of the company’s executive committee.

Development and investment firm Lincoln Property Co. expanded its healthcare services team in the central U.S. and the Southeast, with the addition of 30 professionals with experience in that industry. The company said its new team is part of its corporate advisory and solutions group and is led by George Phelps, vice president of project management. Phelps joined Lincoln from Holladay Properties, a healthcare real estate investment trust focused on South Florida and Tennessee. Phelps is based in Nashville, where Lincoln also added Chad DeRossett as senior vice president and Matthew Siedow as a senior transaction manager for healthcare real estate.

Culver City, California-based affordable housing developer Century Housing named Jacqueline Waggoner as president and CEO. Waggoner previously worked at Enterprise Community Partners, also an affordable housing developer. She brings more than 25 years of industry experience.

Commercial brokerage firm Ripco Real Estate promoted Beth Rosen to vice chair from executive vice president in the firm’s New York office. Rosen brings 25 years of industry experience, including prior work at RKF, and will focus on mentoring and training of junior brokers among other duties. Ripco said it also named Brian Callahan as director of its office in Tampa, Florida, to focus on retail leasing on behalf of landlords and tenants. Callahan’s eight-year career includes earlier work as a senior adviser at Bay Street Commercial.

Global law firm King & Spalding said Brian Donnelly joined its real estate and funds practice group as a partner in New York. Donnelly previously was a partner at McDermott Will & Schulte. His experience includes client representation in commercial real estate debt, loan originations, restructurings and related transactions for multiple property categories.

Multifamily real estate investment and development firm Cortland appointed Jennifer Glasgow as vice president of brand strategy and experience. The Atlanta-based company said Glasgow will lead national operations geared toward resident experience. Her 15-year career includes recent work at hospitality consulting firm The Modiv Group, where she served as managing director and principal brand and experience strategy lead. She held earlier roles at hospitality giant IHG.
