From measuring carbon to managing it

The scientific discovery of carbon’s role in global warming stretches back almost 200 years. Yet only in recent decades has the construction industry fully recognised its own contribution through materials, construction processes and building operation. Today, the sector’s focus is moving from measuring carbon to actively managing it, a shift now increasingly being reflected in standards, policy and regulation.
