Baptist Church Buys Former School in Farmington Hills

Steppingstone Center for the Potentially Gifted Sells Site at 21900 Middlebelt for $1.5M

The former Steppingstone Center for the Potentially Gifted School at 21900 Middlebelt Road in Farmington Hills is under new ownership. Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, currently located in Detroit, purchased the specialty facility from the school for $1.5 million, or about $162.50 per square foot. The congregation plans to move into its new facility by this fall. Built in 1959 and remodeled in 2004, the building includes 9,220 square feet of space on 5.68 acres. The property boasts a 6,000 square-foot outdoor pavilion and full baseball diamond.
