US hotel hires, promotions: Driftwood appoints chief executive officer

Haas has been promoted to regional vice president of lifestyle and luxury hotels at Concord Hospitality. Haas joined Concord in January 2018 and most recently served as area director of operations.

Johnson has been promoted to vice president of sales at PM Hotel Group. The promotion comes following a tenure as regional director of sales for the company.

Maliassas has been appointed as chief executive officer at Driftwood Hospitality Management. He joins DHM from Playa Hotels & Resorts, where he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer, overseeing operations for an extensive portfolio of branded all-inclusive resorts across the Caribbean and Mexico.

Musyt has been promoted to vice president of portfolio marketing at PM Hotel Group. In this role, she will lead marketing strategy and execution across PM Hotel Group’s lifestyle and Hawaii properties, with a focus on driving revenue growth and strengthening commercial performance.

Reichert has been promoted to vice president of new builds and transitions at PM Hotel Group. He will oversee new builds and transition efforts, ensuring seamless openings and conversions while positioning each property for long-term commercial success.

Feaster has been appointed as general manager of Moxy Boulder University Hill in Boulder, Colorado. He joins the property with a strong background in lifestyle and select-service hospitality, most recently serving as general manager of Moxy Cherry Creek in Denver.

Lee has been appointed as general manager of the Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts. Most recently, he was hotel manager at Hard Rock Hotel NYC, where he achieved strong occupancy and revenue results.

Davalos has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in Miami. Most recently, Davalos served as director of sales and marketing at The National Hotel Miami Beach, where she spent eight years elevating the property’s positioning as a refined, adults-only oceanfront destination.

Kupihea has been appointed as leisure and transient sales manager at the Hale Hokuala Kaua'i, Curio Collection by Hilton in Kauai, Hawaii. He joins from Royal Sonesta Kaua'i, where he held roles including front office manager, destination sales manager and rooms manager.

Manzo has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the Hale Hokuala Kaua'i, Curio Collection by Hilton in Kauai, Hawaii. She joined the project following her role as director of sales and marketing from Koloa Landing Resort, and previously held a similar role at Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach.

Matthews has been appointed as senior group sales manager at the Hale Hokuala Kaua'i, Curio Collection by Hilton in Kauai, Hawaii. His career includes senior sales leadership roles, where he managed large‑scale group programs, high‑volume room blocks, and complex meeting and convention portfolios.

Sailer has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the Mill Falls Resort Collection in Meredith, New Hampshire. She returns to New Hampshire after more than seven years with Vail Resorts, where she served as senior national sales manager with a focus on the Northeast region.

Swallow has been appointed as director of revenue management at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. She joins the property from Marriott International Headquarters, where she contributed to the development and launch of the Power of M for One Yield Evolution.

Tsui has been appointed as senior marketing manager at the Hale Hokuala Kaua'i, Curio Collection by Hilton in Kauai, Hawaii. Prior to joining the resort, Tsui held marketing and communications roles supporting destination-driven communities, large scale development projects and agency clients.

Burditt has been appointed as food and beverage manager at the Moxy Boulder University Hill in Boulder, Colorado. He brings more than 24 years of experience across culinary operations, catering and event production.

Giambalvo has been appointed as executive chef of the Red Salt restaurant at the Ko'a Kea Resort on Po'ipu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii. Most recently, he led the development and opening of a 300-seat modern American seafood and steakhouse in Oregon, overseeing all aspects of the operation from menu creation and hiring to kitchen design and back-of-house standards.

Smith has been appointed as director of food and beverage at Adero Scottsdale Resort, Autograph Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona. His distinguished career spans renowned properties, including the former two-Michelin-starred Picasso at Bellagio Las Vegas, where he oversaw a beverage program with $5 million in annual revenue.

Williams has been appointed as executive chef at The Kimpton Shane Hotel in Atlanta. She joins The Shane following a tenure leading high-volume, multi-outlet kitchens within the Marriott brand.

MacAlpine has been appointed as director of special events and entertainment at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. He previously served as director of recreation at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, where he led high-volume programming, managed peak-season staffing of more than 150 team members, and more.
