CoStar Insight: Preliminary Numbers Show All but Two Employment Sectors Recorded Losses

The Seattle metropolitan area still maintains one of the lowest average unemployment levels in the country, which finished below 3% last year. The tight labor market has yielded slower job growth, and the first month of the year resulted in the first monthly reduction in the workforce since September. In the near term, the prospect of a global recession is adding risk for higher job losses.
