Local REIT Acquires 5 Capitol Heights Industrial Bldgs.

Investor Sells 304,000-SF Portfolio to WRIT for $23.1 Million

Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRIT) acquired a portfolio of five industrial buildings totaling 304,000 square feet in Capitol Heights, MD for $23.1 million. All five buildings are part of the Hampton Business Park and sold for about $76 per square foot with an occupancy rate of 74%. Some of its major tenants include: Alside Supply Center, GSA and Royal Cup Coffee.
