Rike Erdbrink and Gonzalo de Estefanía Morales

Rike Erdbrink and Gonzalo de Estefanía Morales have been named general manager and director of rooms, respectively, at the 203-room Park Hyatt London River Thames, which is due to open by the end of 2024. Erdbrink arrives from the same role at the Park Hyatt Chicago, while Morales has spent the last 17 years in various roles at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme.

Jeremy Canivet

Jeremy Canivet has been appointed as general manager of the 63-room Jeddah Edition. He has spent the last six years at Ritz-Carlton, his last role being executive assistant manager at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.

Kathrin Jung-Reinhard

Kathrin Jung-Reinhard has started as head of development strategy, Northern Europe, at Dublin-based Dalata Hotel Group. She arrives from the role of director, head of real-estate portfolio management, key accounts, at Frankfurt-based investment fund Universal Investment GmbH.

Jean-Claude Abi Khalil and Charl Nel

Both Jean-Claude Abi Khalil and Charl Nel have been appointed as development manager, Middle East and Africa, at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and are based in the hotel firm’s Dubai office. Both will focus on deals in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, but Abi Khalil will also have responsibility for Northern and Western Africa, while Nel will oversee Southern, Eastern and Central Africa.

Jessica Tapfar and Kate Bowen

Jessica Tapfar and Kate Bowen have been named as general manager and manager of rooms, respectively, at the 146-room Rosewood Chancery, which will open in London in 2025. Tapfar arrives from her role as hotel director at The Ned City of London, while Bowen arrives from the Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, a Belmond Hotel.

Samantha Rieu

Samantha Rieu has been appointed by Iconic Luxury Hotels to be the general manager at two of its London hotels, the 56-room 11 Cadogan Gardens and 42-room Chelsea Townhouse. Her last role was as hotel manager at another London hotel, The Beaumont.

Cedric Bartolini

Cedric Bartolini has been appointed as head of commercial at Choice Hotels International, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Based in Amsterdam, he comes from the position of head of sales and marketing at French hotel firm Zenitude Hôtel-Résidences.

Marios Triantafyllou

Marios Triantafyllou has been named as director of food and beverage at the 203-room Four Seasons Hotel Tunis. He started at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in 2009 and has worked for it, among other roles at other hotel companies, in its Cairo and Paris hotels.

Victoria Marshman

Victoria Marshman is the new general manager at the 165-room Lowry Manchester hotel, succeeding Adrian Ellis who is retiring after four decades in the industry. Marshman arrives from aparthotels firm Native Places and, before that, from the role of general manager at Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Paul Baker

Paul Baker has been named as the president of Atlantis Resorts, Dubai, which contains the 795-room Atlantis, The Royal and 1,544-room Atlantis, The Palm resorts. He comes from the same role at the Grand Lisboa Palace in Macao, which is where his predecessor in his new role, Timothy Kelly is bound. Kelly now is the president of City of Dreams Macau, a multi-hotel, multi-restaurant and entertainment destination.
