Sacramento’s Priciest Apartment Markets Seeing Rents Fall

Four of the Metropolitan Area’s Five Most Expensive Multifamily Markets Have Seen Unit Prices Slow Over the Past Year

Asking rents in the Sacramento multifamily market are not growing at the same trajectory as in recent years. Over the past 12 months, the price of renting an apartment in the area has increased just 1.7%, after rising at an average annual rate of 6.7% each year from 2015 to 2019. This has brought the average monthly rent up to $1,427.
