The Urban Land Institute’s Orange County-Inland Empire district council has appointed Lowe Senior Vice President Rob Reitenour as its chair for the 2025–2026 term.

Reitenour succeeds TCA Architects partner Aram Chahbazian in leading the nearly 1,000-member organization that focuses on advancing sustainable and equitable development across the region.

Reitenour manages developments including multifamily, mixed-use, resort community and hospitality projects across Orange County and the Inland Empire for Los Angeles–based Lowe. In one example, Reitenour managed the redevelopment of the MainPlace shopping center in Santa Ana into a master-planned, mixed-use environment.

As ULI district chair, he will spearhead efforts to grow membership, mentor emerging professionals, and strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors on local land use challenges, the organization said.

“Our region faces significant housing challenges, namely the cost and supply of housing, which affect where those in our industry live and the talent pool local businesses can draw upon," Reitenour said in a statement.

One of Reitenour’s first major initiatives is to launch the Orange County Housing Symposium next month that is expected to bring together policymakers, developers and community leaders to discuss affordability and equitable growth strategies.

The Urban Land Institute Orange County-Inland Empire is one of ULI’s regional councils promoting responsible land use and development across Southern California through panels, research and policy initiatives aimed at increasing the supply of affordable housing.

In addition to his work with ULI, Reitenour is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. He previously chaired ULI Orange County’s Office and Commercial Local Product Council and serves on the HomeAid OCLA Housing Committee.
