Developer Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. plans to open the first San Francisco Bay Area location of its life science startup accelerator after winning the rights to redevelop a building in Stanford University's 700-acre research park in Palo Alto, California, a region with the nation's second-largest biotechnology cluster.
