Chicago multifamily transaction volume climbs 34% year over year

Chicago apartment sales totaled $6.4 billion over the past year, up 34% from a year earlier. That growth is much faster than the national pace, where deal volume held roughly steady at about $125 billion, rising just 0.6%.
