New York pulls ahead of London in transatlantic office investment race

Improving occupier demand and investor sentiment in New York ends London’s decade-long dominance of sales volumes

Annual office sales in New York reached more than £10 billion ($13.8 billion) in Q1 2026, almost £2 billion higher than the comparable figure in London. This is the first time in a decade sales in New York have been higher than in London for three consecutive quarters, and it is the highest differential in the American city's favour for a decade.
