Unemployment rates in the three major metropolitan areas in the San Francisco Bay area (San Francisco, San Jose and East Bay) have fallen so low, that it is becoming difficult to generate job growth through the existing labor pool. The demographic impact is already being seen in the rate of job growth, which is slowing as employers have to work harder to find qualified workers in an increasingly tight labor market.
