Greek owner Domes Resorts, the holding company of which is Domes of Attica, S.A, has agreed to acquire London-based hotel firm Casa Collective and its hotel portfolio, which owns such adults-only brands as Casa Cook Hotels, Cook’s Club and upcoming, family-oriented XIA.

Goldman Sachs is the seller. No price tag was disclosed.

An accompanying news release stated, “the partnership is intended to support the continued expansion of the platform through franchise, management and strategic development collaborations across leisure destinations and gateway cities worldwide.”

According to its website, Casa Cook has five hotels and resorts — one in Italy, with 50 rooms; two in Egypt, with a total of 138 rooms, and two in Greece, with a total of 226 rooms. The Cook’s Club website lists six hotels and resorts: one in Egypt, with 144 rooms; one in Turkey with 151 rooms, and four in Greece, with a combined 689 rooms. According to CoStar, Casa Collective has 1,398 hotel rooms in total.

Four hotels will be added to the Casa Collective portfolio and the two brands — Casa Cook Hotels and Cook’s Club — will continue to be operated independently but scaled via franchising agreements. Remo Masala, founder of Berlin-based design and branding studio Vision Alphabet, and who helped develop Casa Collective's brands, will remain a shareholder and on the management team of the company.

Founded in 2008, Domes has 21 hotels in Greece, Portugal and Spain, with brand partners including Marriott International and Hilton. Its capital partners include Aroundtown S.A.; Brookfield Asset Management; Grivalia Management Co.; Hotel Investment Partners, and Prodea Investments.

In December, Brookfield acquired a majority share in the 105-room Domes Zeen Chania, a Luxury Collection Resort, on the Mediterranean isle of Crete, its first hotel foray into Greece.

Domes Resorts' latest resort to open is the 125-room Domes Baobab Suites in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, formerly the independent Baobab Suites, which Domes took over the management of in January.
