JLL Names David to DC Clean Energy, Infrastructure Practice
Global brokerage JLL has made a strategic hire responsible for advising commercial real estate clients on their energy needs related to solar, wind, electric vehicle charging and storage.
Kristy David has joined JLL as a senior vice president on its clean energy and infrastructure advisory team. Based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, David is expected to play a key role in advising public- and private-sector clients on achieving clean energy and sustainability goals.
The move comes as a growing number of local governments have set net-zero carbon targets that are requiring cities, municipalities and individual building owners to assess how they build, operate and power commercial properties to achieve reductions in emissions. This is according to JLL's recently released "Decarbonizing Cities and Real Estate: The U.S. Landscape from a Global Perspective" report.
“Kristy will strengthen the depth of JLL’s financial advisory capabilities in the renewable and clean energy, infrastructure, advanced fossil and industrial sectors, where she has worked to close multi-billion-dollar projects domestically and internationally,” Managing Director Josephine Tucker, head of clean energy and infrastructure advisory at JLL, said in a corporate statement.
David brings more than 15 years of experience in project finance, commercial due diligence and public-private partnerships, most recently as a vice president with Greengate LLC where she advised on multisource financing deals and performed financial, market, credit and probabilistic analysis. David holds a master's in international finance and international energy policy from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor's in economics from New York University.
