Sinclair Clark, the South East and London-focused real estate adviser, and Chase and Partners Partnership, the business founded by former RICS president Graham Chase, have merged to create Chase Sinclair Clark, CoStar News can reveal.
The combined company will have a Covent Garden head office in Maiden Lane and an agency office, newly acquired in Market Place, W1.
Chase & Partners was founded more than 25 years ago as an agency with national coverage by Graham Chase, originally specialising in the retail and leisure markets.
Over the past 10 years this has expanded to include a wide mix of office, industrial and residential property activities.
Chase is a past president of the RICS, a past master of the Chartered Surveyors' livery company and, as a chartered arbitrator, is one of the UKs leading property dispute resolvers. He will continue to work full time as a Senior Surveyor playing a full part in the activities of CSC.
Sinclair Clark is a niche practice based in the West End and established in February 2010 by Vanessa Clark.
Prior to that Clark spent five years at JLL specialising in East London. Specialisms include a particular focus on South London and an extensive track record in Croydon. Clark is a board member of Develop Croydon and a shareholder of the Property Hub (London).
The new company will combine a range of projects and letting instructions and, together with the enhanced professional platform of Graham Chase will continue a focus on all aspects of regeneration and development acquired across many projects and services including letting, selling and acquiring offices and other commercial space, along with lease renewals and rent reviews.
The geographical area of focus is primarily on the South East and Greater London, with specialist knowledge of the London boroughs.
Vanessa Clark will take over as chair of the new business.
Vanessa Clark said: "I am delighted that Graham has chosen me to combine our businesses and there is certainly considerable synergy between us."
Chase said: "With Chase & Partners over a quarter of a century old, it is time for me to step down as its chairman and hand the reins to someone new. It’s been an incredible roller coaster of a time, with multiple market booms and busts. Yet, the resolve of Chase & Partners and its amazingly talented and dedicated team have ensured continuity and cutting-edge advice regardless of market performance. I am delighted that the legacy, skill base and ability of Chase & Partners will continue with the transfer of the business to Vanessa Clark as chair and James Clark under the new name of Chase Sinclair Clark."
James Clark, who has been with Chase & Partners for over five years, becomes a member of the limited liability partnership.
The combined business, which launched on 1 October, combines to provide "enhanced agency and consultancy function", the group said.
