Knight Frank has appointed Sarah May-Brown as head of global private capital.
KF said the role underscores the firm’s commitment to strengthening its position as the "leading adviser to private clients in the real estate sector, spanning both residential and commercial markets".
Knight Frank’s private office specialist team, together with the firm’s wider global network, works with 36% of Forbes-listed billionaires, KF said.
KF said May-Brown will continue to evolve its advisory services to private clients and family offices. The firm says its new proposition will align its capabilities across super prime residential, global capital markets and capital advisory. The adviser describes itself as an agnostic property consultancy, which has more than 27,000 people operating from 740 offices in 50 territories around the world.
May-Brown brings two decades of experience with Knight Frank, having started her career in the international residential team. She later spent eight years in the Gulf, where she established the Middle East private wealth team. She is a partner in the private office, a team dedicated to providing cross-border transactions for private clients.
May-Brown sits on both the residential board and the UK strategy board, contributing to the firm’s strategic direction. She is also an advocate for diversity and inclusion, serving as a group sponsor for Knight Frank’s neurodiversity Employee Resource Group and an LGBTQ+ ally.
William Beardmore-Gray, senior partner and group chair at Knight Frank, said in a statement: “Our global residential platform tends to be where principals and their family offices begin working
with Knight Frank; over many years these important relationships are nurtured through our Private Office network. Now with Sarah’s oversight we have strengthened our strategy to support client journeys into new markets. I have no doubt Sarah will take our existing, unique and market leading offer to the next level and be instrumental in helping introduce clients to a broader range of opportunities.”
May-Brown, head of global private capital at Knight Frank, said: “I look forward to further enhancing Knight Frank’s private client offering, building on the success of the Private Office and driving greater connectivity with our residential and investment businesses around the world."
