This product is a two coat system consisting of base and finish coat. Elastomaric/Visco-Elastic compound that is applied to approx 30-100 mil thickness (dependant on desired results). Base coat will adhere to any surface, finish coat can be painted over or left as a white, semi gloss finish.

Summary
Coat of Silence has two coats to provide mass + resilience therefore slowing the energy transfer, or sound transfer, between partitions. When product is applied at the correct thickness the mass plus direct adhesion to the pores of the wall board work to reflect & absorb sound. The finish coat works as a reflector while base coat is actually absorbing some of the sound.
