Westcore names new CEO

Industrial property investment firm Westcore hired Andrew Burke as its new CEO. Burke succeeds Don Ankeny, who is retiring after 20 years in the position, the San Diego-based firm said. Burke most recently headed the global industrial platform at Tishman Speyer. Before that, he served as an executive vice president at Terreno Realty Corp. He also held investment positions at AMB Property Corp., now Prologis, as well as Sun Microsystems and Fidelity Investments.

Westcore said Burke is tasked with creating new capital relationships in the fund business and exploring development opportunities. The company has more than $4 billion in assets under management, with separate accounts managed for state pension funds and insurance companies. It owns and operates 25 million square feet of industrial properties in 13 states, with regional offices in Dallas and Oakland, California. 

JLL bolsters leasing, industrial services

JLL hired Ashley Metcalf as lease administration lead for leasing advisory services to oversee management of new business initiatives, among other duties. Metcalf is an 18-year industry veteran, having served in management and analytical roles at Cushman & Wakefield, The Staenberg Group and THF Realty prior to joining JLL. She is based in St. Louis and will work within JLL’s global lease administration service line, the company said.

JLL also added Scott Little as a senior director in its global consulting business. Little is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will focus on industrial clients, JLL said. Little has more than 20 years of experience with manufacturing and other clients in industries such as aviation, energy, railroad services and automaking. He previously held leadership roles at firms including Cornerstone Building Brands, where he was head of real estate and energy; Carrier Fire & Security Products; RTX; and Sikorsky Aircraft. 

SRS pursues Florida business with executive move

SRS Real Estate Partners promoted Jason Kaiser to co-market leader in the firm’s Orlando, Florida, office. The brokerage said Kaiser will partner with current co-market leader John Artope as the company looks to broaden services in Central Florida as part of larger expansion efforts in the Southeast.

Kaiser has nearly two decades of industry experience, including 18 years at SRS, and has played "a critical role in the success of the Orlando office," the brokerage said. He's worked on landlord representation, property acquisitions and dispositions. His recent clients have included Dutch Bros. Coffee, Sleep Number, Staples, Taco Bell and Torchy’s Tacos. He has also worked on projects in the region with firms such as Formosa Developers, LRG Investors, NGI Investments and Paradigm Developers.

Walker & Dunlop adds multifamily veteran in Dallas

Walker & Dunlop hired industry veteran Mike Bryant as senior managing director in its Dallas office. The real estate services firm said Bryant, formerly with CBRE, will handle new loan originations and focus on multifamily lending through government-sponsored enterprises such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Bryant has more than 40 years of commercial real estate finance experience. During his career, he has originated more than $10 billion in loans. He has handled equity and debt financing and restructuring across multiple property types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial and hospitality. His 13 years at CBRE included serving as a vice chairman and managing director of debt and structured financing in Dallas. He held earlier roles at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage and Capmark Financial Services. 

Lincoln Property looks to grow Southeast apartment holdings

Lincoln Property Co. hired Alexander Li as a senior vice president in its Atlanta office. In his new role, Li will work on multifamily and mixed-use acquisition and development in Georgia and Alabama, the Dallas-based company said. Li joined Lincoln from Highpoint Development and held earlier roles with Jamestown and The Rockefeller Group in Atlanta.

Li has nearly a decade of experience working on mixed-use real estate projects such as the landmark Ponce City Market development on the Atlanta Beltline. Lincoln Property owns and develops commercial properties across multiple categories in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. It oversees a management and leasing portfolio spanning more than 562 million square feet, with $19.5 billion in projects under construction or in its pipeline.
