Duke Realty finished 2019 with nearly $1.1 billion in new developments, smashing through the initial guidance it provided for 2019 of $800 million in construction starts as the REIT raced to take advantage of the continued rent growth for industrial properties and strong demand for both build-to-suit and speculative development.
