Port Manatee Warehouse Started

New Warehouse for Gearbulk subsidiary, Port Manatee Forestry Terminal

Construction on Port Manatee Warehouse #10 began August 25, 2000. The 140,700-square-foot warehouse facility is being built on South Dock Street in Palmetto, FL, by general contractor Halfacres Construction with completion expected by third quarter of 2004. The warehouse is earmarked for Port Manatee Forestry Terminal, a subsidiary of Gearbulk. Gee & Jenson is the developer, architect and engineer of the project. Port Manatee is the closest U.S. deepwater seaport to the Panama Canal.
