Amazon continues to expand its holdings throughout Central Florida, this time with a 45-acre land acquisition in Brevard County along the space coast.

The e-commerce giant purchased the land in south Titusville, Florida, for $6.1 million, according to public records. The property neighbors the Space Coast Regional Airport, sitting between U.S. 1 and Indian River with a nearby connection to the Florida East Coast Railway's Titusville intermodal ramp.

The deal follows a previous acquisition where Amazon acquired a 90-acre parcel in West Melbourne, 31 miles south of the Titusville location.

“We’re always exploring opportunities to enhance the customer experience through investment in communities across the U.S.," said Mike Murphy, a regional PR manager for Amazon, when reached by CoStar News via email.

"In terms of Titusville, we’ll share more as plans progress and we have something confirmed to announce," he added.

The deal is the latest real estate move by Amazon to expand its holdings for its varied operations, including last-mile delivery warehouses, robotics and data centers.

Amazon recently said it now expects capital expenditures to total $125 billion for 2025 — higher than its previous estimate of $100 million — to expand fast deliveries of perishable groceries and other items across the United States, and increase the power capacity of its data centers for artificial intelligence applications.

Amazon has been expanding throughout Central Florida, with new delivery and fulfillment centers opening in Melbourne and Cocoa in 2024, according to reports from the Orlando Business Journal. The company also opened a $200 million robotics fulfilment center in Daytona Beach in September.

"We continue to see strong momentum and growth across Amazon as AI drives meaningful improvements in every corner of our business,” said Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon, in the company's third quarter report.

Farther south, Amazon plans to open a new office in Miami. The company signed on for 75,000 square feet of space at Wynwood Plaza in the city's arts district in July. The lease is the largest recorded in the neighborhood's history.
