WTC Architect Moves into Town

Daniel Libeskind Moving his Berlin-based Studios To NYC To Oversee Rebuilding Effort

The architect selected to design the new World Trade Center complex, Daniel Libeskind, is moving his principal office to New York City. Studio Daniel Libeskind will relocate its headquarters from Berlin, Germany, to 2 Rector St. where it will occupy 17,400 square feet comprising the building's entire 19th floor. Brokers Stephen Schofel and Douglas Grabiner of Newmark and Company Real Estate represented the architect; while the building owner, Rector Trinity Associates, was represented by Kevin Richards of Capital Real Estate. Among Libeskind's most notable projects are the Jewish Museum in Germany, an addition to the London Museum, and the future Denver Art Museum.
