On the face of it yesterday's announcement that greetings cards retailer Clintons has been sold out of administration to previous owner Esquire Retail Limited was a rare good news story from retail ahead of the Christmas period given the administrators confirmed it "safeguards all 2,500 jobs and will see all 334 stores across the UK continue to trade". But will the prepack administration ultimately provide any more than a very brief respite for landlords before the pain begins in earnest?
