Mail-Well Inc. has purchased Enterprise Press Inc., a local printing company, and signed a 10-year lease totaling 110,000 square feet to remain in 627 Greenwich St. in the Soho/Noho district. Enterprise Press Inc. will keep its corporate name and will become a subsidiary of Mail-Well Inc. The Hort Family sold Enterprise Press to Mail-Well Inc. but will retain ownership of the building. David Silberberg of Spaceworks Real Estate Services Inc. represented both Mail-Well and the Hort Family in the transaction. Mail-Well is a consolidator in the printing industry and has ensured that its most recent acquisition, Enterprise Press, will remain at 627 Greenwich before finalizing the deal. Mail-Well focuses its resources within four market niches: labels, printing for distributors, envelopes and commercial printing. In addition to their purchase of Enterprise, Mail-Well has more than 13,000 employees dispersed in 110 plants throughout North America. By: Charles Lonsdale (7/30/1999)
