Adding to an increasingly crowded field of contenders eyeing a casino gaming license in New York, developer Thor Equities has unveiled a $3 billion-plus casino, hotel and entertainment proposal for New York’s Coney Island. The bid aims to transform the beachfront neighborhood, known for its Nathan’s Famous July Fourth hot dog eating contest and the Cyclone wooden roller coaster, to a year-round destination.
