Bank of England maintains base rate at 3.75% despite rising inflation

Interest rates remain unchanged for the sixth time in a row, although continued conflict in the Middle East could increase pressure for a hike

The Bank of England voted today to maintain the bank rate at 3.75%. The Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee voted by a majority of 6-3 for the rate to remain unchanged from the last meeting in July.
