Hadrian's Wall is the remains of the Roman defensive wall across the north of its Britannia province, begun in AD 122 in the reign of the Emperor Hadrian. It is a major tourist attraction and an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In a statement the team said it is raising money for Cancer Research for a number of reasons.
"1 in every 2 people will unfortunately get cancer at some stage in their life. CRUK are making great breakthroughs with their research, finding cures and new ways to detect cancer earlier, improving survival odds. However, no one knows where the next breakthrough is coming from – but CRUK can only fund around 10% of the promising research proposals they are presented with – if we raise more money, they can fund more and the odds of them picking the right proposal (the one that discovers something really important) increases."
