Federal Reserve survey: Consumer optimism is mixed bag

Expectations improve for credit access despite uncertainty around work

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its July survey of consumer expectations on Friday, showing that the median inflation expectation fell 0.1 percentage point to 3.6%.
